Zara Hamilton Memorial Trophy
The association is calling on suitable nominations for the Zara Hamilton Memorial Trophy, which in particular relates to female players under the age of 16.
Zara Hamilton played basketball at Ray owen until she passed away in the year 2000. Zara loved basketball and was always keen to try new skills. Zara was a good sport with a big heart, she was a true team player who valued and encouraged every player.
Zara Hamilton Award Criteria
- Loves basketball with a passion
- Always tries their best
- Keen to learn new sills
- Listens carefully to instructions
- A good sport
- True team player
- Shares the ball and includes all players in the game
- Encourages other players to greatness
- Appreciates that winning isnβt just about the final score

Golden Boot – Player of the Year Award
The association is calling on suitable nominations for the Golden Boot Player of the year award – For players aged 20 years or younger.
The player must possess the following qualities:
- Fair player
- Leadership
- Unselfishness
- Work ethic
- Desire to improve
- Citizenship
- Coachable
- Commitment to representing the Association in a positive manner

Golden Boot – Coach of the Year Award
The association is calling on suitable nominations for the Golden Boot Coach of the year award –
This coach must be a current coach withing KDBA and possess the following qualities:
- Positive reinforcement
- Leadership
- Keen desire to see all those interested in basketball enjoy and excel
- Dedication to the Association and its ethics of helping others.
