Home Opener at Ray Owen

The Eastern Suns are back on home court for their first game of the season at Ray Owen Sports Centre, facing off against the Geraldton Buccaneers in a Sunday afternoon clash. With tip-off set for 12:00 noon, the Suns will look to finish their double-header weekend on a high note. The Suns were in a winning position late in the game but couldn’t hold off a late surge from the Buccaneers, ultimately falling by nine points. Despite the result, Marek Nelson put in a stellar performance, leading the team with 21 points, 9 rebounds, 3 assists, and 4 steals. Reece Maxwell added 11 points, six assists and four rebounds, Jack Exeter 10 points, four boards and two assists, and Brendan Dinardo 10 points, four rebounds, three assists and two steals against the team he won the 2019 championship with.
