Another huge weekend awaits the Eastern Suns as both teams face a challenging double-header, beginning with a trip to Morley to take on East Perth before returning home to The Furnace on Saturday night to host the Joondalup Wolves.
Coming off split results against Perry Lakes in Heritage Round, the Suns will be looking to continue building momentum and put together strong performances against two quality opponents. With the ladder beginning to take shape and every win becoming increasingly valuable, Round 11 presents a significant opportunity for both Suns teams.

FORM GUIDE
The Suns Men enter the weekend with an 8–3 record and remain firmly in the hunt following last weekend’s win. The Women currently sit on three wins alongside several other clubs in an incredibly tight race through the middle of the standings.
East Perth continue to impress, with their Women sitting second on the ladder after a strong start to the season, while the Men hold a 6–6 record and have proven capable of challenging any side in the competition. Both Eagles teams recorded wins over Perth last weekend.
Joondalup also arrive in good form. The Wolves Men sit at 9–3 and are contenders, while their Women have fought their way to a 4–8 record. Both sides claimed impressive victories over Cockburn last weekend and will be full of confidence heading into Round 11.
LAST TIME THEY MET
Women vs East Perth
The Suns Women fell 66–85 to East Perth in a competitive contest, remaining within striking distance for much of the evening against one of the competition’s strongest teams.
Gabriela Bronson led the way with 14 points, 5 assists and 4 steals, while Emma Strelein earned Pink Round MVP honours after contributing 6 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists. Trista Hull also made an immediate impact in her NBL1 debut, finishing with 7 points and 9 rebounds, while Alyssa Bowen added 7 points and 5 rebounds.
Men vs East Perth
The Suns Men were involved in a thrilling high-scoring contest against the Hawks but fell just short, 96–93. After exploding offensively in the first half and putting up 62 points, the Suns were unable to hold off Perry Lakes’ late comeback.
Terrico White led the scoring with 24 points, while Travis Fee and Marshall Nelson both made major contributions in a game that came down to the final moments.
Women vs Joondalup
The Suns Women produced a spirited effort against Joondalup in a high-scoring contest, competing strongly despite facing another quality opponent on the second night of a demanding double-header.
Karly Murphy led the Suns with 22 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists, while Alyssa Bowen added 15 points. Tayjanna McGhee-Pleasant also contributed strongly with 14 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists.
Men vs Joondalup
One of the standout wins of the 2025 season saw the Suns defeat Joondalup on their home floor less than 24 hours after knocking off Rockingham.
Randy Bell delivered a spectacular performance with 35 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists, connecting on seven three-pointers. Marshall Nelson was equally impressive, recording 31 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists in a dominant all-around display.
ONES TO WATCH
Trista Hull continues to make a strong impression since joining the Suns, earning the Core Cider House MVP award in each of the past three games. Her impact at both ends of the floor has been immediate and she continues to grow in confidence every week.
It was also fantastic to see Joe Cook-Green back at his best last weekend. The experienced guard stuffed the stat sheet with 25 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals, providing leadership and energy as the Suns Men secured an important victory.
