The Bendigo Bank Eastern Suns made the long road trip to Kalgoorlie to take on the Goldfields Giants in Round 17. With only two games remaining in the regular season and playoff spot on the line for the Men, both Suns sides were looking to bounce back – but unfortunately, results didn’t fall in our favour this time.

Despite a huge performance from Tayjanna McGhee-Pleasant, who dropped 34 points and pulled in 13 boards, the Giants got off to a red-hot start and didn’t look back. The Suns made a strong push in the third quarter, but the early deficit proved too much to overcome.

The Giants came out firing and controlled the game from the opening quarter. Despite some strong scoring from the Suns, including another solid night from Marshall Nelson and a lively effort from Marley Sam, the Giants proved too strong at home.
