Dear Eastern Suns Members,
Introducing the new Suns values!
How lucky we are to still be in the full swing of basketball life while the other states are enduring prolonged lock downs with no community sport.
Our inaugural NBL1-West season has now come to an end, WABL teams are beginning their finals campaigns & season 2 of our domestic competition is thriving.
While there has been plenty of action on the court, your management committee has been working hard off the court developing a set of values for Eastern Suns.
We believe club values are so important to help members understand what it means to play for, and support Eastern Suns. This include the behaviours we all display to ensure we are strong and united.
The values we have agreed to are Community, Respect, Integrity and Excellence.
You will start to notice these values becoming visible around the stadium, and the club will be working with coaches and team managers on how the values are best discussed with players and spectators, to build our strong Suns club culture.
We believe the timing of this is very important following a number of concerning incidents in recent weeks that we would like to see end. All members, including players, referees and spectators should be able to enjoy a fun and safe experience, every time they come to Suns basketball.
The values, with a little more information on what each one means, are now posted on our website under our document and policies section here and social media, and can be accessed from the following direct Links:
Our Management are continually looking at ways to improve and look forward to a bright future at the Eastern Suns.
GO SUNS!
