Women
The Eastern Suns Women’s team are riding high after securing their second win of the season with an impressive 20-point victory over the Senators last weekend. They’ll look to carry that momentum into this clash with Lakeside, who split their double header with a win over East Perth and a loss to Perry Lakes. The Lightning sit 9th on the ladder, just outside a playoff spot, so expect them to come out firing.

Men
The Suns Men fell just short of five straight wins last weekend, going down to the Senators by 10 points in a hard-fought contest. They’ll be eager to bounce back against Lakeside, who are coming off two big wins over East Perth and Perry Lakes. The Lightning’s recent form has them sitting 11th with seven wins, so they’ll be fighting to keep their finals hopes alive too.

Back in Round 6, the Suns Women’s side faced a tough test on the road against a sharp-shooting Lakeside Lightning outfit, eventually falling 121–77. Lakeside got off to a blistering start with a 35-point first quarter and never looked back. Despite the final margin, there were positives for the Suns — Tiahna had 19 points and 8 rebounds, while Tayjanna battled hard inside, collecting a double-double (13 points, 10 rebounds) plus 5 assists and 2 blocks. Aisha also chipped in with a tidy 8 points shooting 50% from the field.

Final Score: Lightning 97 – Suns 93

In the Men’s clash, the Suns fought right to the final buzzer but narrowly went down to the Lightning 97–93 in a tight contest. After a strong second quarter where they outscored Lakeside by 9, the Suns couldn’t quite hold the momentum in the second half. Bryan was electric with 31 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 assists, while Marek contributed a stat-stuffing 23 points, 8 boards, and 5 steals. Jack stepped up as well with 16 points and 5 rebounds, showcasing the team’s scoring depth.

Women
Tayjanna is coming off her MVP performance against the Senators and will look to bring that same energy against Lakeside. Expect her to be a force at both ends of the floor!

Men
The Suns Men are hungry to bounce back and finish strong at home. Keep your eyes on the offensive firepower of Marty, Trav, Randy and Terrico — they’ll be locked in and ready to put on a show to secure the W!
