Bendigo Bank Easter Suns hit the road this weekend

The Eastern Suns Men’s team heads north to Geraldton this weekend in search of revenge and redemption after falling short against the Buccaneers in Round 1. It’s been a challenging stretch for the Suns, who currently sit at 2-4, with several close contests slipping through their fingers in recent weeks. A win in Geraldton would be a massive momentum shift heading into the middle of the season.

FORM GUIDE

The Suns have battled hard in recent weeks but find themselves on the wrong side of some tight finishes. Meanwhile, the Buccs (3-2) currently sit 6th on the ladder but will be eager to bounce back after a 14-point loss to Rockingham in Round 4. Both teams come in hungry to get back in the win column.

The Suns fought valiantly in their first home game of the season, despite having played the night before. ONES TO WATCH

All eyes will once again be on Marshall Nelson, who took out the Core Cider House MVP the last time the Suns faced the Buccs. The Stott Hoare-sponsored player was relentless in Round 1, finding ways to create shots under pressure and keeping the Suns within striking distance all game long. Expect another high-energy performance from Nelson as he looks to lead the charge and flip the result this time around.
