Hi everyone,
I am writing to let you know that Zac Acott has made the difficult decision to resign as CEO of KDBA, to take up a role with a WA State Sporting Organisation.
It’s a significant career opportunity for Zac, and one that also better supports his young family. While we’re sad to see him go, we understand his decision and support him fully in taking this next step.
Over his 18 months with the Suns, Zac has played a key role in strengthening our day-to-day operations, growing engagement across our programs, and helping lay the foundations for the Association’s next chapter, including supporting our governance modernisation work. He’s brought a genuine work ethic to the role, always willing to roll his sleeves up and get stuck into whatever the Club needed, whether that was front-and-centre or behind-the-scenes. His dedication, professionalism and care for KDBA have been felt right across our community, and we’re enormously grateful for everything he’s contributed.
Zac has kindly agreed to an extended transition period and will remain with KDBA until early October, ensuring a smooth handover. We will commence recruitment for his replacement immediately.
In the meantime, please be assured that the quality and depth of our staff team and volunteers remains as strong as ever. It’s a credit to Zac’s leadership that he leaves behind a capable and committed group who will continue to deliver the excellent programs and service that you expect, without interruption.
When you see Zac around in his remaining months, please join me in thanking him for his contribution to the Suns, and in wishing him every success in his new role. We know he’ll continue to bleed orange and black.
